About the Art

Using buffalo, elk, and deer leather, she creates leather jackets. leather vests, leather bags, leatherpurses, jewelry, and several styles of leather cases for cell phones, digital cameras, and iPods.

“Versatility in art has always been a constant, my interests include the visual arts as well as a mastery of leatherwork featuring Spanish lacework.”

The paintings are rendered on a variety of surfaces and using different mediums,and styles; from wall murals to painted flagstone and drums, the options are endless.

All can be made to order, including custom garmets.

Bio

A longtime Taos area resident, Torre Strong is an artist living with her family in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, of Northern New Mexico.

Torre has been creating art all her life; drawing inspiration from many cultures through extensive travel in the Far East and Europe as well as North America.

Her journey has included forays to archaeological sites known for cave paintings and petroglyphs, as well as studies of ancient arts throughout the world.
